President attends FIABCI World Congress in Lagos
The President and Chairman of Council, ESV Victor Alonge, PNIVS, FRICS, FCIoD on Tuesday June 10, 2025 joined real estate experts, critical stakeholders, investors, developers, policy makers and personalities from the organised private sector from over 70 countries at the Eko Hotels and Suites for the opening ceremony of the 75th International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI) World Real Estate Congress under the theme, "Global Real Estate Renaissance."
President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria,
Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, ably represented by the Honourable Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar gave the opening address, while Professor Yemi Osinbajo, GCON, former Vice President, Federal Republic of Nigeria gave the Keynote speech.
FIABCI World President, Ramon Reira Torroba and FIABCI-NIGERIA President, ESV Akin Opatola, FNIVS had earlier given their welcome speeches.
The opening ceremony which had eminent personalities in attendance also had the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu represented by Mr. Moruf Fatai, the State Commissioner for Housing.
The landmark event, which ends on Friday, 13th of June is expected to foster dialogue and deepen strategic partnerships within the real estate industry, as well as drive best practices, innovation, and sustainable development in the global real estate sector.
President was accompanied by the Honorary National Publicity Secretary, ESV Richard Olodu, FNIVS and ESV Dauda Adetona, MNIVS.
