    Estate Surveyor and Valuer Launches Book

    Come this Sunday, August 19, 2018, the book "40 YEARS OF HOUSING DISCOURSE" will be launched at the Island Club, Onikan, Lagos. The book is a compilation of some articles of Asiwaju Kola Akomolede, a renowned estate surveyor and valuer, which have been published by different National Newspapers over the past forty years.

    The covers all subjects relating to land and housing and other ancillary subjects like land policy, Land use Decree, Land Use Charge, Rent Control Laws, Property Taxes, How to Sell or buy Properties, How to avoid Fire in Houses, How to avoid being duped by Quack Estate Agents, Property Management and Why we lack Maintenance Culture.
    It also covers other subjects like Housing Finance, Low Income Housing, Housing investment abroad and at home, Shares versus Property Investment/Treasury Bills, Origin of BQ, Meaning of Storey House, Building Materials among many others.
    According to a statement by the organisers, the chairman of the occasion is the former Minister of Health and chairman of Juli Pharmacy, Prince Julius Adelusi-Adeluyi while the former Governor of Ogun state, a veteran journalist and former CEO of Daily Times, Aremo Olusegun Osoba (who wrote the forward of the book) will be the Special Guest of Honour. Mr. Segun Oloketuyi, Managing Director of Wema Bank Plc. will be the Chief launcher with Mr. John Momoh, chairman of Channels Television, as the Book presenter.
    The review of the book will be done by a veteran journalist and a Co-founder of the Tell magazine, author of several books and currently a columnist in The Guardian, Mr. Dare Babarinsa.
    There will be a panel of discussants that comprises Mr. Femi Falana, SAN, and a human rights lawyer, Mr. Rowland Abonta, National President of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors & Valuers and Mrs. Adesuwa Onyenokwe, Publisher & Editor in Chief of TW magazine and presenter of Seriously Speaking, a TV show.
