INTERNATIONAL PUBLIC SECTOR ACCOUNTING STANDARDS (IPSAS) – JOB OPPORTUNITIES FOR ESTATE SURVEYORS AND VALUERS

Dear Noble Colleagues,
With sense of humility and purpose I want to register my appreciation for the trust you reposed on us to be your leaders, we are mindful of the present circumstances especially in our National life, which had virtually affected all sectors of the economy.
Following up on the various government policies which affect our services, we have taken steps for us to embrace the new National Accounting model -International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS).This is the new order of public accounting, moving from cash based accounting to accrual based. Nobles Colleagues, we have important role to play in this new order. Since 2016, when a national circular emanated from the office of the Accountant General of the Federation to all strata of government, Ministries, Departments and Agencies, (MDAs) we had set up a committee of eminent noble colleagues who had since been working assiduously to ensure proper guidance, in ensuring equitable distribution to all members as the jobs will be trickling in.
As part of our effort to ensure proper engagement of members, we started awareness among the policy makers by sending universal proposal to all State Governments, Federal Ministries and lobbying to domesticate the services. We believe in no time, these jobs shall come to reality; Lagos State had started it, though not yet in full scale that all members can participate; sooner than later we shall all enjoy this.
Dear Noble Colleagues, it would not be out of place to mention the committee members and salute their courage, sacrifice and love for our profession; they have been working round the clock in ensuring adequate engagement of stakeholders in this new order.
The Committee Members are:
